Kolt has helped promote the foundation as Lansing's Center of Charitable Giving for many years. He also currently serves on the foundation's Board of Directors.

Kolt donated his expertise to help improve the image of the charity following an embezzlement crisis. He also serves on United Way's Board of Directors.
Michigan Nurses Foundation
Kolt serves on the board of the Michigan Nurses Foundation, which supports the nursing profession with educational scholarships and communication efforts.
Lugnuts Charities
The charitable organization formed by the owners of the Lansing Lugnuts minor league baseball team.
Lansing Rotary Club
Kolt has also served as President of the Board of the Lansing Rotary Foundation.
